Now, that’s not to suggest that all bans are without merit. Sometimes, directors do push too far past the boundaries of good taste and certain pieces of cinema can find themselves reduced to smutty, exploitative filth that is utterly devoid of redeeming value. Even as the perception of what is decent has evolved and modernized from not showing a couple in the same bed to pushing for Disney to feature an LGBT princess in one of their movies, there remain films that operate outside the realm of good taste and probably aren’t suited for a wide cinematic audience.
